The Financial Controller - Global Headcount and Staff Costs is the referent person within Corporate FP&A for all headcount and staff costs related topics. In this role, you will BE in charge of framing and analyzing global performance on those matters and providing guidance on staff costs processes within the Group. You will work as a strong partner with the Finance FP&A community (at Group, Division & local levels) and Human Resources.
Main Responsibilities
- Financial Cycles
- Deliver Annual Budget and Forecasting for French perimeters.
- Participate in year-end Flash Landing to estimate impacts for the French perimeter.
- BE the main interlocutor for any modelization of Headcount / FTE or global staff costs topics.
- Performance Monitoring :
- Suggest new KPIs for monitoring headcount and staff-related costs.
- Share monthly performance through a specific dashboard for each cycle with main comments.
- Projects
- Actively participate in the Future Performance Management Framework.
- Review and suggest new approaches for performance analysis for France.
- Implement global reporting for top management.
- BE the main point of contact for Polaris on staff-related topics.
- Tools
- Update and improve TM1 Staff Costs FR module.
- Take ownership of TM1 Staff Costs U.S.
- Closing on French Entities
- Validate non-payroll accruals with Shared Service France.
- Follow-up on exceptional / one-off items.
- Ensure analytical allocations are correct.
- Provide inputs for Research Tax Credit calculation.
- Prepare reinvoicing of all expatriate costs.
Profile & Experience
- Solid academic background : Business school or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance roles, with expertise in controlling and project management.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial business indicators.
- Experience with forecasting cycles and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and proactively suggest new approaches.
- Capability to handle large datasets, synthesize insights, form conclusions, and present findings to key stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to collaborate with senior management in an international environment.
- Comfortable navigating a complex, global organization and managing competing priorities.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity in IT systems (TM1 is a plus).
- Resilient, independent, and a strong team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
