IN SUMMARY, WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?
The CEA is looking for a Research Engineer in Systems Engineering for Eco-Innovation Approach for the CEA/DRT (Technological Research Directorate). This 36-month fixed-term management position is based at the Nano-Innovsite in Paris-Saclay, Essonne (91).
This position is to BE filled as soon as possible.
WHY JOIN US?
Nowadays, IT is urgent to adopt sustainable consumption and production practices that are underscored by prominent initiatives as the European Union Sustainable Development Strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Current linear economy model, based on take-make-dispose approach, needs a transition towards a circular economy (CE) model that aligns with Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP) and EcoDesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
The introduction of the Digital Product Passport (DPP), a key element of the ESPR, presents an opportunity to enhance traceability, offering stakeholders comprehensive information about a product's life cycle, materials, and environmental impact.
The ESPR establishes the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as the system to access on a need-to-know basis information essential to support sustainable production and enable the transition to circular economy, boosting material and energy efficiency, extending product lifetime and optimizing product design, manufacturing, use and end of life handling.

Contributing to the specification of the DPP system architecture
Contribute to the developement of a toolset for an easy implementation of the DPP by economic operators and DPP service providers
