The Treasury Department has the responsibility of providing the funding and the liquidity for the Group to ensure that each legal entity of the Group has the adequate financial means. Corporate Treasury acts therefore as an internal bank and finally supports the commercial teams to provide financing solutions to our customers.
Within Alstom Treasury, the Bonds & Guarantees (B&G) Department mission is to provide to the business all financial and technical support related to guarantees issued by the financial institutions (banks, insurers) and by Corporate entities (Parent Company Guarantees, Letters of Comfort), to comply with the requisites of most of long term contracts in the railway business. It includes the negotiation of bonding lines with the financial institutions, the support to the business at tender stage and during the contract execution, the guarantees issuing process, the reporting to the management and the tool (process tool and database) administration.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Being part of an international team based in 4 locations, i.e. France, Germany, Romania, and Switzerland, you will entertain several tasks as per your 12 months internship. On a daily basis you will have the opportunity to learn more about bank negotiation, trade instruments in support to the large railways international contracts and learn from the international team.
Your major mission will be to support the B&G team with the development of the new ERP tool for guarantee management. You will interact with worldwide country Treasuries, banks and Indian support.
Support to the Bonds & Guarantees ERP improvement processes and worldwide banking connectivity deployment with countries treasury teams and local banks
Monitor Freshdesk tickets to support the B&G team issues together with the ERP vendor.
Interaction with the ERP team and Indian support team to ensure that the future developments are well processed accordingly with the request description.
Verify Release Notes and communicate to the team the relevant new system features.
Make data cleansing and prepare data transfer files when necessary.
Support the countries key users with their queries and intermediate contact with ERP vendor/IS&T according to each case.
Support the countries treasurers to implement the dematerialization process with local banks, organize trainings liaise with ERP provider and local b anks
Support the project integration of ERP data with a business intelligence tool.
Guarantees Management
Based on the efficiency of the new tool and your knowledge of trade business and Alstom B&G process, assess the opportunities to process guarantees requests,
The trainee will be part of analysis and reporting process
Depending on the Trainee knowledge and skills, participate to guarantee structuration with project teams and banks.
Reporting Development
Assist in the extraction, cleaning, and preparation of data from the guarantees ERP system.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and objectives.
Document requirements and specifications for report design.
Assist in designing report templates that are visually appealing and user-friendly.
Conduct testing of reports to ensure they meet specified requirements.
Validate data outputs and resolve any discrepancies identified during the testing phase.
Maintain proper documentation of reporting processes and methodologies.
Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in report design and functionality
PROFILE:
We are looking for a motivated Trainee keen to develop his/her knowledge on the Trade Finance side, with a multi tasks and capabilities orientation. In addition of that, but not being somehow a mandatory element, the Trainee should be having already some backgrounds in the appealing field of Technology and Project Management.
To be considered for this role, the candidate needs to be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes.
Education
Oriented Business School, University or Engineering with a component of Finance and/or International Trade Business with a material interest of building up experience/competencies in an international environment.
Technical competencies required for the training
A sense of organization, deliveries and KPI dashboard building/management.
Advanced knowledge of Pack Office (Excel, Word, PPT…).
Good working level in English spoken and written.
