Job Description

1. Promote safety culture in its area of responsibilities.
2. Design and implement the Supply-Chain & Packaging solutions or Productivity projects.
3. Provide input and quotes during the AVP phases.
4. Project IPIs:
1. Logistics costs per part: AVP vs. Actual
2. Packaging density, investment
3. "Lead-time" (inventory level, PFEP process)
4. Storage & Transport means
5. Re-Use ratio.
5. All Project Deliverables following Optimap Methodology and Manufacturing Convergence Indicator.
6. Ensures that safety policies are understood and respected within his area of responsibilities.
7. Exploratory consultation phase (AVP):
1. Defines the optimum supply-chain organization, human resources, means, necessary in order to guarantee Safety, Customer Service and Quality while Costs and Inventories are kept minimum.
2. Calculates the supply-chain & Packaging budget of the project (cost per part, investments, …).
3. Makes sure that the quotation is based on the use of standard equipments and processes.
4. Identifies and escalates any industrial risks.
8. Project development phase:
1. Applies Supply-Chain standards.
2. Defines and develops the supply-chain scheme from suppliers to customers: physical flows, information flows, outbound, inbound, internal plant, always being in contact with Manufacturing project managers and plants.
3. Defines optimum stock levels at each step of the process, with a focus on Lead Time optimization.
4. Develops the functional specifications for semi-finished packaging means and final packaging from the customer specification, the industrial organization and the production units’ constraints, in cooperation with assembly engineers, manufacturing project managers and plant engineers.
5. Ensures fine tuning and reception of packaging means, their availability for the trials at each step of the project development, until eventually customer approval and until objectives are met.
6. Takes part in the functional definition of the related information systems, in relation with the SCOOP BO.
7. Designs the layout of inbound, internal and outbound flows / Dimensions the storage areas.
8. Analyses the impacts of perimeter evolutions on the organization, resources, Packaging types and investments and Supply Chain’s costs.
9. Participates in the suppliers selection process with Purchasing (Transport, SILS, Platforms, Packaging, Dynamic storage), Provide a technical validation of the selected solutions.
10. Document and implement supply-chain processes and policies.
11. Manages logistics FMEA and audits, if any needed.
12. Provides support to the plant during the start of production and ramp-up phases.

Qualifications
Bachelor with experience or Master’s degree.
Internal: Plant Logistics Engineer.
External: Similar role in an industrial company or at a logistics provider.
Dedication to safety.
Customer orientation / Leadership / Team spirit / Autonomy.
Multi-functional & Multi-cultural communication / English mandatory.
Openness to new ideas.
