About the job

Our Team:

A key role within Sanofi's Global Tax Reporting (GTR) department, this role would suit a candidate who is keen to progress their career within a complex, global organization. Working closely with the GTR&C Team, the Tax Reporting Manager will be responsible for assisting and taking charge of various Group’s corporate tax reporting matters.

Main responsibilities:

* Tax Accounting: Review of tax reporting packages, forecasts and cash tax for the group affiliates to ensure information is consistent, correct and meets company (SAGA) and IFRS requirements
* Digital & Analytics: Provide active support to our tax reporting strategy and to continue to support drive in making improvements to the Sanofi Tax reporting package both in terms of simplification and user experience. In addition, support the GTR team with training, monitoring controls, testing and updates. Digital for tax reporting looks to accelerate innovation in global reporting and compliance and contributing to the company’s broader digital direction
* Partnering Excellence: Be an integral part of the consolidation of the quarterly reporting process under IFRS and liaising with consolidation team and external auditors. Assist in preparation of tax disclosures. In parallel, develop and maintain effective relationships with the Sanofi affiliates and other Sanofi departments such as Transfer pricing, Corporate Tax and Consolidation department
* Tax planning & Advisory: Support in tax planning and coordination of international tax liabilities to minimize the company exposure coordinating with affiliates where necessary. Providing support to GTR Team in advising affiliates on tax consequences of major transactions of the Group: acquisitions and disposals in the year
* Internal control & SOX reporting: Ensuring tax risks are appropriately managed by maintaining records and controls for SOA purposes
* Global Compliance: Provide support in Country-by-Country Reporting and Pillar II (minimum tax) and DAC6 required by OECD
* Other: Responding to requests of information and providing value added analysis and ad-hoc projects. Assist in daily workflow and ad-hoc queries from around with world


About you

Experience:

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in-house in the pharmaceutical industry
* Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team in a multicultural organization
* Resilience and ability to prioritize when facing conflicting demands and high workload

Soft and technical skills:

* Strong technical skills in tax accounting under IFRS
* Good systems skills/experience
* Good analytical skills and desire to achieve results
* Proactive and able to work on own initiative
* Effective communication and influencing skills

Education:

* Appropriate qualification (Certified or Chartered Accountant, etc.)

Languages:

* Fluency in English
