About The Job

Scaleway is looking for an Instances Control Plane Engineer to join our Instances team. Your main mission will be to develop & maintain the virtual machine orchestration system that serves our Instances offers for a variety of hardware technologies, such as CPU or GPU.

Reporting to our Engineering Manager, Alban BETHEGNIES, you will utilize your mixed background in low-level software engineering and in systems administration.

Minimum Qualifications
* Experience in Python development
* Experience in API definition & lifecycle
* Experience in SQL database
* Knowledge of Linux administration
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Deployment
* Very good command of English and French
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in Container based deployment
* Knowledge of the QEMU and KVM virtualization technologies
* Love of all things automation
* Knowledge of one cloud platform and related use-cases
* Experience with monitoring systems
* Experience with Layer 2 & 3 networking
Responsibilities
* Develop & maintain Instance VM orchestration system
* Add new features to the existing products
* Collaborate with other product teams
* Improve testing coverage & performance
* Perform deployment of new versions and SQL migrations
* Manage application issues & alerts
