Within the Information Systems Department, the Saur Group is looking for a Network Architect to lead the design and evolution of the company?s network infrastructure, ensuring security, efficiency, and innovation.
Objectifs et livrables
Experience required:
At least 8 years of experience in network architecture and design, with a deep understanding of WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, IoT, and network security (load-balancer, firewalls, VPN, segmentation).
Proven expertise in security frameworks and compliance, with a strong focus on ensuring network solutions meet security policies defined by the CISO.
Familiarity with ITIL methodologies (ideally ITILv4), and experience with network monitoring tools and managing critical incidents.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to implement network solutions.
Responsibility:
As Network Architect within the IT Infrastructure and Operations team, you will work closely with Product Owners, IT Architects, Developers, and Operations Engineers to design and implement robust network infrastructures that align with business needs and security requirements. Your primary responsibility is to create scalable, secure, and efficient network architectures, including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and IoT solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems and support future growth. You will be responsible for evaluating and recommending new technologies, optimizing network performance, and ensuring that all network designs adhere to industry best practices, security policies, and compliance standards. This role is key to driving the strategic direction of the network and ensuring its alignment with the broader IT and business objectives.
Your responsibilities include:
Network Architecture Design & Evolution:
Design and evolve network architectures (WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, IoT) to support business growth and technological advancements.
Ensure all network solutions comply with internal and external security standards.
Lead the integration of new technologies and innovations, aligning network strategies with business goals.
Security & Compliance :
Guarantee that all network architectures adhere to the security policies defined by the CISO, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Monitor and assess network security continuously, proposing improvements and adjustments as necessary.
Profil candidat:
Technical Support & Expertise :
Provide level 3 support for critical network incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of network issues and develop improvement plans to prevent recurrence.
Offer guidance and technical expertise to resolve complex networking challenges.
Coordination & Technical Oversight :
Collaborate with Service Owners, Project Managers, and other technical teams to ensure network solutions are deployed according to design specifications.
Provide technical validation for projects, ensuring that all aspects of the network deployment meet performance, security, and operational requirements.
Participate in security governance committees as the network expert, ensuring all designs meet security and compliance guidelines.
Risk & Impact Management :
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to network deployment and ongoing operations.
Manage the lifecycle of network-related changes and ensure they are appropriately tested and documented.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation :
Continuously assess and improve network performance, scalability, and reliability by integrating best practices and industry innovations.
Conduct ongoing research to keep the network architecture aligned with emerging technologies and evolving business needs.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer :
Create, maintain, and update technical documentation related to network architecture and configurations.
Lead knowledge transfer sessions with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth transitions to operational support.
The current scope of Saur France I&O: 3 Data Centers, Public & Private Cloud, 2 000 network devices, 250 applications, 1 300 servers, 6 000 Windows workstations, 8 000 Android smartphones and tablets.
Required Skills :
Strong expertise in network technologies (WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, IoT).
Advanced knowledge of network security technologies (firewalls, VPN, segmentation).
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ITIL processes.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical information.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across various teams and vendors.
Active engagement in technology trends and innovations.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
